Finextra and Microsoft partner on City developer forum

Finextra is partnering with Microsoft to devise a one-day conference programme for developers in the City.

The Microsoft-led developer session will be available as a fifth special interest stream at Finexpo, Finextra’s annual financial markets conference and exhibition, which is taking place at The Brewery on 24 January 2007.

The developer forum will provide an overview of new and up-and-coming Microsoft technologies for the City developer community alongside practical implementation scenarios. Microsoft’s key architects will be on hand to explain and demonstrate the latest releases of Office, Excel and Vista and their application within the demanding capital markets environment. Microsoft’s strategies in the XML/Web Services space and the legacy integration capabilities of the .NET framework will also feature on the day-long agenda.

In tandem with the developer forum, Finexpo will also run seperate sessions on algorithmic trading strategies, front office execution and exchange integration, risk management and compliance, and high performance computing. This year's show will additionally feature a fourth special-interest seminar stream, devoted to issues surrounding the forthcoming introduction of the EC's Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID).

Now in its fifth year, Finexpo promises to provide an agenda-setting show for the European capital markets industry in 2007. As in previous years, entrance is free to business decision-makers and IT professionals from capital markets institutions and investment banks.
