Interactive Investor signs for AppDynamics APM

AppDynamics, the application intelligence leader for the software-defined business, today announced that Interactive Investor has selected AppDynamics Application Performance Management (APM) as part of its commitment to improving the user journey.

Interactive Investor is one of the UK’s leading investment and trading websites, providing unbiased financial information together with the tools and trading environment its users need to make confident and informed investment decisions.

The company has 1.6 million annual unique users across its investor communities. Customers use the platform to access their valuations and holdings, demanding quick access to the information they need to trade and manage their assets.

The company required a robust APM solution with rich analytics capabilities that would allow it to scale quickly and perfect the user experience, while providing end-to-end service and system levels monitoring. Interactive Investor selected AppDynamics for its analytics capabilities and ability and it's significantly superior breadth and depth of visibility. Once rolled out, the company is keen to use the technology to improve the following key areas:

● Website and mobile app responsiveness
● Efficiency of cloud hosting
● User experience
● Monitoring quality of suppliers

“Customers today prefer the convenience of accessing financial services digitally – whether via the web or on mobile devices. Users are typically time-poor and looking to gather all the information they need to make informed decisions quickly, so ensuring seamless performance and spotting and potential problems before they occur is crucial,” said Alan Grose, IT Director at Interactive Investor.

“Interactive Investor has decided to replace its existing APM solution to achieve greater visibility across its estate. During an initial proof of concept, AppDynamics enabled us to spot any inefficiencies and to hone in on root causes. We were attracted to the platform’s analytics capabilities and the ability they gave us to input on roadmap discussions,” Grose added.
