In this case when Saigon Hanoi Bank (SHB) acquired HabuBank it more than doubled the size of the banks payment operations. The challenges created by the project were easily addressed by SmartVista's combination of comprehensive functionality, innovative design and absolute reliability.

The project was part of the wider restructuring of the banking system mandated by the Government and the State Bank of Vietnam. Following the project's successful completion, the bank now operates a network of 250 branches, 250 ATMs and over 500 POS-terminals. The migration of HabuBank's payment channels and cards to SmartVista was completed in only three months entirely by SHB staff. The Bank has subsequently launched a number of new initiatives powered by SmartVista, including more POS services as part of SHB's merchant program.
