SQS Software Quality Systems AG, the world's leading specialist in software quality, and Orbium, the business and IT consulting company focusing exclusively on the financial services industry today announce a global partnership in the area of software testing of the Avaloq Banking Suite.

The combined expertise will offer SQS services delivery with a state of the art Avaloq automated testing tool from Orbium. Representing a robust Testing solution in the market, this can be delivered through a variety of onshore, offshore, and managed services models.

The global acting Avaloq Premium Implementation Partner Orbium provides a tailored to Avaloq test automation tool, TestMaster™, which manages and performs functional release and regression testing across the entire Avaloq Banking Suite. It supports the review of transaction based scenarios and technical processes within a customer-specific Avaloq environment.

Since 2009, SQS has gained tremendous experience of successfully testing the Avaloq Banking Suite of various banks in different delivery models, such as managed service. Through their SMARTS test automation framework SQS introduces a very high level of automation to successfully reduce customers’ historically important manual testing efforts and significantly increase efficiency. As a consequence, this results in a significant reduction of errors and costs and an increase in quality.

Benoit Hailly, Head of Software Products at Orbium, comments: "Time and time again, our large and international business transformation experience shows rigorous test efforts associated with implementation, and the later operation of the core banking system. With SQS as a partner, banks will be able to receive earlier access to the precise expertise that helps to make testing effort efficient in terms of cost and quality. Together, the test-methodological experience of SQS and Orbium’s TestMaster™ Suite will effectively facilitate and support an automated test approach for projects and customers’ operations around the globe."

"With Orbium as a partner, SQS is given an early opportunity in the project life cycle to begin to implement solid software quality assurance and thus offer customers quicker access to quality and efficiency potential", explains Karsten Pech, Head of Market and Member of the Executive Management of SQS Switzerland. "With the wide and innovative functionalities of the Orbium TestMaster™ Suite, SQS will be able to expand its service offering in test automation of the Avaloq Banking Suite around GUI-automation and thus support, in addition to System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT)."

SQS and Orbium have been cooperating and jointly supporting various projects of Avaloq’s BPO centers since 2013. The testing services are based on standardized methodologies as well as on Orbium’s TestMaster™ Suite and are primarily delivered by SQS’ nearshore center in Cairo, Egypt.

Klaus Rausch, Chief Technology Officer and Member of the Executive Board at Avaloq: "With the build-up of our BPO centers in Germany and Singapore we have the demand for an end-to-end testing solution. SQS with its maturity in methodical testing approaches and their near- and offshore capabilities as well as Orbium with their extensive experience for many successful Avaloq Banking Suite projects are the ideal choice for us."
