Paysafecard.com Wertkarten GmbH, member of the international Skrill Group, is the world's leading provider in prepaid solutions for online payments. Building on its existing products, paysafecard now offers a prepaid MasterCard that provides paysafecard customers with an even greater range and choice of where they can pay - according to their own needs and circumstances.

The card, which enjoys the full functionality of a MasterCard, is topped up with paysafecard credit to offer both the advantages of a prepaid system combined with the strength of a credit card accepted worldwide. This innovative product is now available to all customers for paying both online and offline at millions of shops. Thanks to paysafecard, even those without a bank account now have access to a credit card.

The costs comparative to a conventional credit card are minimal: In addition to an annual fee of €9.99, there is a standard top-up fee for prepaid cards (4%), as well as an ATM cash withdrawal fee and a charge for payments made in foreign currencies. Paying with the card is free of charge.

The prepaid card for everyone

paysafecard MasterCard is only topped up with paysafecard, which is available at local sales outlets such as petrol stations and newsagents. paysafecard MasterCard is then available as a physical card topped up with this amount and ready to use everywhere in the world MasterCard is accepted: This includes shops, hotels and restaurants, as well as online vendors. Plus, it can be used to make cash withdrawals from any ATM. paysafecard MasterCard can be topped up with paysafecard at any time.

Total spending control and no overdraft

The prepaid principle excludes overdrafts and unwanted surplus spending thanks to the fact that only the credit topped up to the card can be used. This ensures that customers have complete control of their spending.

Customers without a conventional credit card can now enjoy all the benefits of cashless payments with paysafecard MasterCard - including online, in shops and in everyday life. Especially products only available to credit card holders are now also accessible to those without a conventional credit card. These include online flight bookings, hotel reservations, car rentals and intercity train tickets. Plus, many discounts only available when paying by credit card are now also available to everyone - such as cheap train tickets or overnight accommodation.

Udo Müller, CEO of paysafecard.com Wertkarten GmbH, on the joint product of two world-leading players:"paysafecard MasterCard expands the paysafecard product portfolio enormously. Now, everywhere MasterCard is accepted, paysafecard can also be used to pay. More and more users value prepaid cards allowing them to enjoy the convenience of paying by credit card while retaining optimal control over their finances. paysafecard MasterCard is the perfect solution for anyone who wants to pay simply, quickly and safely online and offline, meaning both in shops and online shops, at more than 35 million acceptance points."
