Despite being 161-years-old, Skipton Building Society is always looking forward and has this month pledged its commitment to meeting its members' digital needs by welcoming Alison Davies to a newly created role of Head of Digital.

Alison's role is a pivotal position for the Society, leading the development of Skipton's digital capabilities to improve the service that it offers customers.

Alison is ideally equipped to take up this exciting new position, having spent the last 20 years working at First Direct and HSBC where she held a number of senior roles including, UK Head of e-Commerce and Global Head of Digital Sales.

Skipton's new Head of Digital, Alison Davies, said:

"I'm delighted to have joined Skipton. It's a proud mutual with a wonderful history - a true home grown success story. But it's not resting on its laurels, it's looking forward and identifying where it can improve further on digital service, capabilities and technologies for the benefit of its customers.

I am delighted to have joined at such an exciting time. The legacy of the organisation combined with the current and future opportunities for digital provide a great platform to delight customers.

Alison who lives in North Leeds, is a keen traveller who enjoys running and keeping fit. She is also active in supporting charitable fundraising and is currently Divisional Vice President of NSPCC.
