Lloyds Bank has today introduced a new range of features for the bank's secure and easy to use Mobile Banking app on handheld devices.
The app has improved how customers securely pay bills and people, including first-time payments with full internet banking transaction limits.
The new banking app also allows customers who use iPhone and Android devices to access their accounts much quicker by entering only three characters from their memorable information, after initial set up.
The app comes as Lloyds Bank reaches a new digital milestone. The digital banking provider in the UK is marking over five million customers using their digital services. Over 1.5 million logons are now recorded each day, with over half from a mobile or tablet device.
Customers securely register their device with the iPhone and Android app, , so the Mobile Banking app uniquely associates each device with its owner. This extra level of security enables customers to simply enter three characters of their memorable information to log on, and each customer can register up to five devices to their account.
Lloyds Bank has continued to expand the range of mobile banking services so that customers can bank on the go, receiving an even faster service. Available through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, the new app includes these updated features: -
Payments to new and existing payees with full transaction limits
Express Logon that allows customers to log on securely using only three characters from their Memorable Information.
Full transaction history on current, savings and credit card accounts
Ability to open new accounts for different banking products, including side by side comparison of our different Savings accounts
Ability to make payments by selecting contacts straight from the customer's o phone contacts, using the new Pay a Contact service as part of the PayM scheme
Everyday Offers for customers to view and activate via their mobile app from selected retailers
Everyday Offers was launched last year to reward the bank's current account holders, enabling customers to earn cashback oers to earn cashback on their everyday spending. Customers will be able to view and activate up to 15% cashback on high-street names straight from their mobile app. Later this year, customers will also be able to receive push notifications to alert them of updates and new Everyday Offers.

It's therefore really important for us to make mobile banking faster and easier without compromising on security. We have enhanced security and simplified the experience with the fast login to our new app for iPhone and Android users, this enables our customers to make payments such as PayM anytime without needing to carry around secondary devices such as card readers or needing to confirm authentication through phone calls.
We've also integrated a number of new features to allow customers to do more of their everyday banking on the go. For the first time, our Everyday Offers programme is fully integrated within the app, meaning that no-one will miss out on new cashback offers when out shopping. Customers can check their balance quickly before spending with a full transaction history available to validate what has come in and out of their account."
