"We are excited to make this exceptional offering to issuers and application developers; it is consistent the technology built into our agile and scalable platform. HCE is a new and tremendously empowering feature for card issuers, so it is important that the process of 'getting familiar with' and using the new technology be as friction free and open as possible," Doug Yeager, co-founder and CEO of SimplyTapp.
"This is a rare and powerful offering that is meant to allow both developers card issuers to gain comfort with using Host Card Emulation for payments, but still be scalable enough to fit their commercial volumes," said Ayman Hammad of SimplyTapp. "It marks a first in the payment card industry, but it can now be a reality by combining virtual card issuance with new software technologies and scalable platforms."
"SimplyTapp is the first company to allow open innovation in a mobile card issuing space that has been typically closed off but for a few players," said Ted Fifelski, co-founder of SimplyTapp, "Just last week somebody independently used our platform to make riding the Chicago Ventra transit system possible with a mobile phone. That is remarkable for this space, considering where we were a year ago."
