Ingenico partners SlimPay on online subscription payments

Ingenico Payment Services, leading global digital and secure payment service provider for all sales channels, today announces a partnership with SlimPay to offer customers a rapid online payment solution for subscriptions and recurring purchases.

Today, an increasing number of business sectors are moving to the subscription with monthly billing model, including transportation, rent, insurance, energy, telecoms, media, music and pay TV. Ingenico Payment Services chose to partner with SlimPay, a leader in the Eurozone direct debit market, to offer an innovative subscription payment solution to be deployed among merchants and ultimately at an international level.

This partnership will allow Ingenico to enrich its online payment services offering across all channels (in-store, online, mobile) and also offer a new payment method to 10,000 existing French merchant customers.

The new online payment method joins the 150 international and local payment methods already proposed by Ingenico Payment Services, which continues to stay abreast of market trends and to offer its customers the widest range of payment methods.

The solution avoids the management of expiration dates and fund limits. Payments are transferred directly from subscribers' accounts to merchants' accounts.

"This partnership is totally consistent with Ingenico Payment Services' mission to offer new, complementary payment methods that satisfy the needs of merchants. We are pleased to offer customers a new subscription payment solution that allows them to accept recurring payments through direct debit." said Simon-Pierre de la Seiglière, Southern Europe Sales Manager e-Commerce Solutions for Ingenico Payment Services.

"Our direct debit subscription payment solution makes it really easy for merchants and customers to set up subscriptions and recurring services," said SlimPay CEO and cofounder, Jérôme Traisnel. "We are very pleased to partner with Ingenico Payment Services to establish this service and accelerate our development in Europe. Their large merchant customer base and multi-channel offer, which combines innovation and sales channels convergence, were what convinced us to join them in partnership."
