Credorax, the smart technology acquirer, today announced that it has appointed Joshua R. Floum to its board.

In this new role, Floum will leverage his 30 years of expertise and experience in financial services, payments, advanced technologies, governance and risk initiatives to further facilitate Credorax's growing business and increasing market share worldwide.

Prior to joining Credorax's board, Floum served as the Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Visa, Inc., reporting to Visa Inc.'s Chief Executive Officer and serving on its Executive Committee. Floum was instrumental in guiding Visa through its merger and birth as a global public company, which represented one of the largest IPOs in US history. Floum devised the company's "retrospective responsibility" plan, which shielded the new organisation from legacy legal liabilities and built Visa's legal and government relations departments to global world-class scale.

"With our expansive growth in Europe, the US, China and Japan and imminent position of becoming the world's first global-domestic acquirer, we wanted to find a candidate who could deliver the perfect balance of legal expertise, leadership skills and deep knowledge of the intricacies of payments," said Benny Nachman, CEO of Credorax. "With his proven success at Visa, Joshua will assist us to navigate opportunities and challenges within the increasingly complex legal payments and banking industry."

"As a new board member, I am excited to be joining such a forward thinking, energised company. I have quickly come to understand the pivotal role Credorax will play in evolving the payments industry and redefining how merchants, PSPs, and financial institutions can take advantage of technological innovations and proven commercial strategies to grow their business," said Floum.
