Continuing its success with international growth, Wix.com (Nasdaq: WIX), a leading web development platform, will work with Worldpay, a global leader in payment processing, risk management and alternative payments, to provide a payment solution to meet the demands of its rapidly expanding international user base.

Wix enables its 48 million registered users to create a professional online presence themselves and manage additional aspects of their business, beyond website creation, all from the Wix Cloud. Wix users can maintain a free website and upgrade to a paid premium subscription in order to benefit from additional features and capabilities.

Worldpay will provide Wix with a global payment portfolio to match the company's growing needs as it continues to gain more users and expand into additional markets. Supporting more than 120 currencies, Worldpay's scalable products will be used by Wix to support its acquiring, payment gateways and treasury needs.

Karl MacGregor, VP Digital at Worldpay, says: "As Wix continues to grow, its payment requirements will also evolve. We're delighted this exciting tech company has chosen Worldpay to provide payment services for its new enterprise-level demands. Our expertise in corporate solutions means we can offer Wix a bespoke, scalable solution to ensure its payment technology is able to keep up with its continued success."

Lior Shemesh, Chief Financial Officer of Wix, says: "Wix is in a constant state of expansion, adding over a million registered users each month, and needed to add a heavyweight payment processing solution to meet the needs of our users in existing and new markets. We chose to partner with Worldpay as they offer robust, flexible and highly secure solutions that are perfect for our immediate and future requirements."
