AgFirst Farm Credit Bank, a provider of funding and financial services to agricultural credit associations, has selected SunGard's Ambit Commercial Lender to help modernize lending operations.

Working with SunGard will help AgFirst provide essential technology services to its 19 affiliated credit associations more efficiently and, in turn, help those associations better serve their customers.

Ambit Commercial Lender provides a suite of tools that will replace many of AgFirst's legacy loan origination systems and processes. The highly configurable system will help the bank quickly make compliance updates as well as policy, association and district-level changes. The platform will help automate loan origination and servicing processes for AgFirst and its network of associations.

"Our mission is to provide services and funding that enable our associations to serve their markets in a competitive and efficient manner. The technology available in Ambit Commercial Lender will help us provide our affiliated associations with an automated and integrated end-to-end solution. This solution will help our association's better serve more than 80,000 farmers, agribusinesses and rural homeowners." -- Jamie Bumgarner, vice president and director of loan operations, AgFirst Farm Credit Bank

"We are in the process of upgrading our entire systems architecture.  Our goal is to provide users with end-to-end coverage of lending processes while improving our speed-to-market for future needs.  The SunGard solution will be an important ingredient of this transformation," -- Tim Amerson, chief executive officer, AgFirst Farm Credit Bank
