Creditcall ready for US EMV migration

Payment gateway provider and EMV migration expert Creditcall has become the first payment gateway to support EMV in the U.S., enabling the company to take a market leading position as the U.S. rapidly moves toward EMV migration by October 2015.

The company has become the first gateway to process EMV transactions for attended and unattended retail markets through a partnership with Moneris Solutions. Moneris Solutions is one of North America's largest payment processing providers and processes more than three billion credit and debit card transactions a year for more than 350,000 merchant locations across North America.

Creditcall will be showcasing the first live EMV transactions in the U.S. at leading payments event ETA Transact 2014, which takes place April 9-10 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Creditcall's EMV migration solution for Windows and Linux, ChipDNA, will be demonstrated on Ingenico and VeriFone PINpads using the Moneris processing platform at booth #860.

"With EMV migration imminent in the U.S. it's vital that companies have trusted, experienced partners they can work with to manage the change," said Jeremy Gumbley, CTO at Creditcall. "We've helped countries and companies migrate to EMV for more than 10 years including in the U.K. and Russia. Becoming the first EMV-ready payment gateway in the U.S. is further validation of our expertise and our position as pioneers at the forefront of EMV migration."

"As a North American leader in EMV, we are proud to have partnered with Creditcall, bringing EMV capability to their solutions in the attended and unattended retail markets," said Chris Lee, President, North American Strategic Partnerships and Emerging Markets for Moneris Solutions. "We led the establishment of EMV in Canada, and will continue to provide this expertise to partners and merchants in the U.S. market."
