BlueSnap upgrades its BuyNow e-commerce checkout page

Global payment gateway provider BlueSnap today announced an upgrade to its BuyNow hosted checkout pages enabling merchants to present a flexible, full-featured, PCI-compliant checkout page to shoppers in 180 countries without development expense or the need to commit company resources to meet PCI security standards.

The new release features eye path-optimized page design, easy customization, A/B testing, mobile device support, and other enhancements to help merchants close more online sales.

Online retailers that use BlueSnap's hosted checkout pages have full access to all platform functions, including award-winning subscription management, coupon generation, catalog management and full support for both physical and digital goods as well as dynamic localization across 60 currencies, 29 languages and 110 payment methods. Other gateway solutions support only a handful of countries and do not offer localized pages, limiting merchants' ability to generate revenues from the global marketplace.

"Hosted checkout is critical for businesses that don't have the time or resources to build their own purchase pages in every language and meet the PCI security requirements needed to accept cards," said Ralph Dangelmaier, CEO of BlueSnap. "Our new BuyNow pages not only fill a void in the market created by vendors who do not offer the hosted option but also provide a rich set of enhancements designed specifically to increase conversion rates."

BlueSnap's new BuyNow capabilities include:

• Built-to-sell checkout page design utilizing heat map research to ensure that the page layout follows the correct eye path to guide shoppers through the buying process.
• Easy customization, with the ability to remove or change default fields, dictate checkout flow, add branding, and make other changes to suit each merchant's business.
• A/B testing support, enabling merchants to simultaneously test different page configurations or offers to see what works best for their customer base.
• Automatic formatting for smartphones and tablets through BlueSnap technology that automatically detects the device type, helping merchants capture sales in the rapidly growing m-commerce space.

BuyNow pages can be displayed in an iFrame to keep the shopper in the merchant's website throughout the purchase, providing a consistent user experience. They are also integrated with Google Analytics and Google Adwords, enabling merchants to track traffic, content views, and end-to-end purchase funnel activity as well as sales conversions for marketing campaigns through their Google accounts.

BlueSnap also offers developer-friendly APIs allowing merchants to create and manage their own completely customized checkout pages.
