LGE Community CU revamps branch with Diebold kit

A welcoming, collaborative atmosphere. Member representatives delivering personal service. And satisfied members managing their own transactions. The setting was a picture of engagement and efficiency for the soft launch of LGE Community Credit Union's new modern branch in Roswell, Ga.

Diebold, Incorporated (DBD) and Cash Transactions LLC (CashTrans), a Diebold certified dealer, helped develop the open branch environment with LGE, delivering branch concept advisory services, branch equipment and customized Opteva® automated teller machines (ATMs) featuring deposit automation capabilities.

Based in Marietta, Ga., LGE serves more than 100,000 members via eight full-service branches. The Roswell branch's Feb. 3, 2014, soft opening gave members a chance to preview the efficient branch environment, which combines self-service and personal interactions. The official grand opening is taking place today.

"LGE's branch transformation strategy incorporates advanced technologies to enhance member experiences and improve operational efficiencies," said Chris A. Leggett, president/CEO, LGE. "Our members have grown accustomed to banking in unique environments, and they are already enjoying the level of personalized service they receive at our evolved Roswell branch."

Inside the branch, members may use one of four banking stations equipped with deposit automation-enabled Opteva ATMs to complete teller-like, envelope-free cash and check deposits. Collaboration areas are located steps away, giving members the opportunity to interact with LGE representatives for more advanced needs.

"LGE is a progressive institution with its eye on efficiency and enhancing member services," said Mychal D. Kempt, vice president, North America operations, Diebold. "The Roswell branch just opened, and LGE is already exploring new ways to enhance services, such as adding loan payment capabilities and additional services to the branch's ATMs."

Among LGE's other branch transformation initiatives, CashTrans installed Diebold RemoteTeller™ Systems at several branches so a single teller may attend to multiple customers in various queues. Diebold and CashTrans are also currently implementing a deposit automation-enabled terminal at each of LGE's seven other branch locations.

CashTrans is an exclusive Diebold Certified Dealer serving accounts in Alabama, Georgia and Florida.
