Datacard Group, the world leader in secure ID and card personalization solutions, today announced it will be providing financial institutions, retailers and service bureaus with guidance and best practices to help simplify the transition to the industry-wide EMV smart card standards, including the 2015 liability shift in the U.S.

The new EMV Professional Service offerings - provided by Datacard Group - give organizations a wide-range of educational material, technology tools and resources designed to help them make calculated decisions on what they need for EMV smart card programs. The offering includes:

EMV Workshops and Training Services - including strategic and technical offerings, as well as an EMV smart card program overview that helps educate companies on what is needed when implementing such programs.
Assessment & Planning Services - including existing infrastructure analysis, card type selection and management, authentication and authorization requirements, customer service and expert-by-your side consulting to help ease the transition to EMV smart card programs.
Implementation Services - this includes project planning, scripting services, data preparation, chip personalization, key management, and central or instant issuance.
Support Services - this includes data security and industry compliance services, as well as software maintenance and upgrades.

Organizations will also have the flexibility to customize these services to fit their business needs depending on where they are in the EMV smart card implementation process.

"With the 2015 EMV liability shift quickly approaching in the U.S., it is very important for organizations to not only understand how this will impact them, but also what a smart card payment ecosystem looks like so they can help support it," said Jeff Davison, vice president of global solutions and professional services for Datacard Group. "We understand the hurdles, cost and need for educational resources, which is why we developed a portfolio of EMV professional services offerings that can help simplify and support them in this EMV migration path."

Datacard Group has extensive experience in the smart card industry and will be hosting a series of half-day, educational EMV seminars across the U.S. Datacard® solutions issue millions of smartof smart cards everyday worldwide and the company has more than 300 EMV smart card implementations globally.
