Payment Alliance International (PAI), a leader in retail ATM solutions, and Kern Schools Federal Credit Union announced today they have entered into an agreement to brand 22 ATMs located at Rite Aid stores in Kern County, Calif.

PAI will own and operate the ATMs, which will be outfitted with Kern Schools' branding. Kern Schools' members will have surcharge-free access to cash at these new ATM locations.

PAI operates one of the largest ATM networks in the United States, with equipment at more than 60,000 retail locations across the country. As part of the network, the company provides ATM services for approximately 1,500 Rite Aid locations nationwide. "Adding Rite Aid ATM placements gives Kern Schools Federal Credit Union the ability to expand their footprint without significant expense," said Gregory W. Mercer, senior vice president for PAI.

"Working with PAI and Rite Aid supports the member-centric philosophy of Kern Schools," said Michael M. George, senior vice president of operations and marketing for Kern Schools Federal Credit Union. "Giving our members convenient, surcharge-free access to cash at ATMs located in Rite Aid stores throughout Kern County exemplifies this commitment," added George. "We look forward to a long and prosperous partnership with Payment Alliance International."
