First Data and Chartway Federal Credit Union enter merchant-processing partnership

First Data Corporation, a global leader in electronic commerce and payment processing, and Chartway Federal Credit Union, today announced the companies recently finalized a long-term strategic merchant services partnership.

Under terms of the agreement, First Data will partner with Chartway Federal Credit Union to distribute payment processing services to the credit union's members throughout their client-facing channels, including its 59 branch network spanning 10 states. First Data will manage operations, risk management and merchant sales activities, leveraging the Chartway Federal Credit Union brand and the strength of its relationships.
