MoneyGram (MGI), a leading global money transfer company, has signed an agreement with Univision Enterprises, a division of Univision Communications Inc., the leading media company serving Hispanic America, to create a MoneyGram link on Univision's MasterCard Prepaid Card "Tarjeta Prepagada" page.

Through this link, Univision's Prepaid MasterCard account holders can easily and directly connect to MoneyGram to complete money transfers and expedite bill payments using their Univision Prepaid MasterCard.

This agreement leverages the resources of Univision with the world's second-largest global money transfer company. The MoneyGram network currently has more than 310,000 locations in 197 countries.

"We're always looking for ways to improve our program for card members," said Scott Scovel, vice president and general manager of Univision Direct, at Univision Communications Inc. "Adding MoneyGram's money transfers and expediated bill pay services give current and prospective users valuable and convenient services in one single location."

The agreement with Univision continues the growth momentum MoneyGram has been experiencing in its emerging channel business.

"Our relationship with Univision is one more example of MoneyGram's growth in emerging channels," said Tim Summers, MoneyGram head of emerging channels and strategic partnerships. "We've been successful in establishing innovative relationships with companies that serve similar customer profiles and providing consumers with solutions that makes sending money easier."

The company recently reported strong performance from its online, kiosk and mobile alliances, including online transaction growth of 58 percent with revenue growth of 23 percent, both of which accelerated greatly from the third quarter.

MoneyGram provides its online service to consumers through strategic relationships and agents in the U.S., UK and Germany who want to reach more consumers and enhance their online presence through MoneyGram's suite of services.
