Income Systems and Boldfield have integrated The Currency Cloud's API XBPConnect into Salesforce and Sage 50 respectively. XBPConnect provides access to The Currency Cloud's Cross-Border Payments-as-a-Service (XBP) offering.

The API enables developers to enhance existing customer services and to enable more integrated and seamless processes for businesses around international payments.

While there are many invoicing apps on the market for Salesforce and Sage, Income Systems: Invoice Manager and PiPa for Sage are the first to incorporate international payments. When making cross-border payments, enterprise software users usually have to disengage from their program, manually make the transaction through their bank or broker, and be hostage to poor exchange rates and processing errors. The Currency Cloud's XBPConnect API allows international payments to be incorporated within the workflow of enterprise software, saving users, time, effort and money.

CEO of Income Systems, Paul Harvie, commented: "In servicing Salesforce customers, we are constantly coming across businesses that are burdened with the complexities and high charges associated with international payments. The Currency Cloud's XBPConnect API helps us to address this pain. We built a Salesforce invoicing and payments application around The Currency Cloud's unique cross-border payments capability within a very short space of time.

The app seamlessly integrates into the main Salesforce system and the API itself was very easy to work with. We already have a number of businesses who are in the process of implementing the app, and plenty more expressing a strong interest."

Mike Laven, CEO of The Currency Cloud, said: "Making an international payment should be as easy as making a domestic one. With XBPConnect, developers can create apps and services for low-cost, simple currency conversion on a range on enterprise software: with just a couple of clicks, users are done - no phone calls, no disengagement with the core accounting process. All the complexity is handled by us and the application. We are enabling the integration of international payments into the underlying transaction that drives tthe need for cross-border payments, moving away from the fragmented process that is prevalent today.

"Over the coming months, further apps and integrations into business software will come to market that will make international payments significantly easier and lower cost for businesses, and allow them to focus where they should be - on their core activities."

Income Systems: Invoice Manager is in limited distribution and will go live on the Salesforce AppExchange over the coming few months. PiPa for Sage is also in limited beta and will be available on Sage Additions within the coming months.
