Leading European travel and expense (T&E) management provider KDS has announced a new partnership with travel and expense booking, settlement and reconciliation technology experts Conferma. The unique partnership will enable KDS to offer a virtual payment platform to clients, driving traveller payment flexibility whilst ensuring even greater payment security and management control.

The partnership between KDS and Conferma sits in line with KDS' continued focus on partner acquisition and T&E ecosystem expansion to increase end user flexibility and market leading management control.

"This partnership will facilitate our client travel management and will ultimately help them reduce their spend," said KDS Director Global Business Development Hubert Martin. "Travel managers can now have at their fingertips a high quality, accurate and full audit trail that helps drive corporate governance, adherence to policies and enhanced supplier management."

While organisations and travel managers demand control and visibility of spend they don't necessarily want to issue all their travelling staff with a corporate card. In association with their banking partners, Conferma creates a virtual card solution which companies can use to pay and settle travel bills only when they are needed. Conferma then provide accurate and powerful matching data which includes booking, payment and invoicing management information which can be organised by cost centre, individual business traveller or hotel property. This automated matching process reduces administrative time and room for error, and therefore ultimately saves money.

"Conferma share the KDS vision for increased traveller flexibility balanced with market leading management information and organisational control," said KDS Senior Vice President Products and Partners Oliver Quayle. "KDS have promised business travellers simple, mobile and smart technology to make their lives on the road less painful, this partnership further enables KDS to deliver on just that promise."

Conferma's Commercial Director, Shaun Hinds, added: "We're delighted that, through this partnership, more corporates and their business travellers can benefit from our automated settlement and reconciliation solution as an integrated part of their expense management process."

The partnership with Conferma offers simplicity, security andy and efficiency. All sensitive payment card details are encrypted and secured by Conferma to eliminate the handling, processing and storage of credit card data for customers. All transactions are inherently secure, and enhanced data capture prior to payments being executed also reduces the risk of employee initiated fraud, giving travel manager's peace of mind that the right financial controls are in place.
