MasterCard appoints Juan Rajlin corporate treasurer

MasterCard Worldwide today announced that Juan Rajlin will join MasterCard as Corporate Treasurer on February 6, 2013.

He will succeed Sachin Mehra, who is assuming the role of Business Financial Officer for MasterCard's North America Region.

Rajlin brings with him a range of international financial experience in global corporations having held positions in the United States, Europe and South America.

Most recently, Rajlin served as Assistant Treasurer for General Motors where he was responsible for global treasury activities including treasury operations, capital markets and capital planning. In addition, Rajlin oversaw GM's regional treasury centers covering Europe, South America and Asia and was focused on M&A and other strategic initiatives in the area of automotive financing. Rajlin joined GM in 2002, taking on positions of increased responsibility. Prior to joining GM, he worked in treasury at Royal Dutch Shell.

Rajlin holds an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York and an undergraduate degree in Economics from Torcuato Di Tella University in Argentina.
