Rule Financial, the leading independent provider of advisory, business consulting, IT and software services to the investment banking community, today announces that it has appointed Derek Perry, who joins the rapidly growing consultancy as a management consultant and specialist in OTC clearing.

Based in the London office, Perry joins Rule Financial with 20 years of cross-product investment banking expertise, and six years of experience working in the professional services industry.

Perry joins from Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), where he spent the last seven years, most recently holding the position of global head of treasury operations and IT change management.

Prior to his role at RBS, Perry spent five years at Capco; he has also held senior management positions in the investment banking arm of Barclays and at Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken. Perry has a track record of large scale front-to-back deliveries, and is skilled at ensuring continued active stakeholder engagement to COO level throughout the lifecycle of a project or programme. He also brings considerable knowledge of regulatory changes such as Dodd-Frank, EMIR and FATCA.

Two weeks ago, Rule Financial celebrated 5: 15: 500. Fifteen years in business; headcount growth to 500 people; operations in five countries. Rule Financial works with nine of the top ten global investment banks. This growth is testament to the strength of domain expertise of its consultants.
