Spindle adds Brian Voigt and John Tharpe to team

Spindle (OTCBB:SPDL), a national provider of innovative mobile commerce and alternate payment solutions for businesses and consumers, has named long-time payment industry veterans Brian Voigt and John A. Tharpe as the newest members of its executive team.

Each will carry the title of Senior Vice President of Strategy and Business Development. The two executives collectively bring more than four decades of proven success creating companies, products and strategic relationships in the financial services arena.

Brian Voigt has more than 21 years of expertise in the financial services and electronic payments industries. Prior to joining Spindle, he served as vice president of strategic partnerships for Bank of America Merchant Services (BAMS), with a focus on defining mobile Point of Sale ("POS") and unattended industry strategies. In addition to his work at BAMS, Voigt has held executive positions at several national companies, including First Data, Chase Paymentech and Bank of America. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas Tech University.

John A. Tharpe brings more than 22 years of experience in financial services, and was a catalyst in building platforms and models for several successful payment companies, such as Official Payments Corp., TrustCommerce, and Global Payments. Tharpe most recently served as vice president of strategic partnerships at Bank of America Merchant Services , where he worked to establish BAMS' mobile wallet, third party payment gateway, professional sports acquiring and mobile payments strategies. Tharpe holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pepperdine University.
