Monitise forms partnership with eMerit

Monitise (LSE: MONI), a leading technology and services company that delivers mobile banking, payments, and commerce networks worldwide, and mobile payments provider eMerit Solutions announce today they have entered a partnership to develop new mobile payment opportunities for businesses.

The partnership comes as Monitise executes on its strategy to help financial institutions defend and extend their role in payments at a time when cash is increasingly becoming digitised via the capabilities of mobile banking, payments and commerce.

eMerit allows businesses a unique and secure way to process card payments from their customers at the point of sale (POS). The technology enabler provides highly secure Chip+PIN mobile acceptance solutions along with a wide range of additional services that are fully compliant with leading payments network guidelines, making it a compelling proposition for businesses of all sizes, particularly the smaller business market.
