TIBCO Software Inc. today announced that TIBCO Spotfire® Web Player version 3.2.1 now offers a touch screen experience for Apple® iPad™. Developed to support the iPad native multi-touch interface, the latest release of Spotfire® makes mobile analytics and business intelligence (BI) available to anyone, anywhere.

Building on the release of TIBCO Silver™ Spotfire® - an on-demand offering designed to enable anyone to create, publish, and share custom dashboards or reports for analytics and BI in the cloud -Spotfire now makes it easy for anyone, anywhere using an iPad tablet to interact with their analytic applications and dashboards. Spotfire is also available to enterprises, allowing them to extend Spotfire to their mobile users. Within minutes, anyone can now create mobile analytic applications and dashboards without requiring time-consuming setup or infrastructure. As users continue to capitalize on the exponential growth of social media and self-publishing outlets, TIBCO Spotfire makes everyone an "analytic publisher," increasing the business relevance of social BI solutions with one of the fastest growing mobile devices on the market.

"Portugal Telecom - Information Systems believes TIBCO Spotfire is an excellent tool for interactive data analysis and we are happy that Spotfire will now be supported on mobile devices as well," said Tiago Ribeiro, director of business intelligence at Portugal Telecom - Information Systems. Collaboration with anyone, anywhere
Spotfire now empowers mobile executives and business users to consolidate data sources and visually interact with and analyze data to answer critical business questions. Highlights include:

• Touch-Enabled Dashboards - Right in Your Hand. Spotfire now gives users a powerful, intuitive and interactive mobile BI experience. With the ability to see charts, graphs and tables - as well as the ability to interact with those visual analytics in real time - users can tap, pinch or swipe the iPad screen, with every movement providing a new visual view of the data instantly.

• Powerful Analysis - On the Run. With Spotfire, users of the iPad tablet can access important information where and when they need it - whether running a predictive analytic application or simply visualizing trends in data. Unlike competing solutions that merely provide mobile access to static Web-based reports, Spotfire delivers user-driven interactivity, rich visualizations and access to detailed data so questions can be asked and answered on the run.

• Knowledge-Sharing - In a Mobile Environment. With one click, Spotfire users can now upload and share user-generated visual and interactive dashboards and templates instantly on the iPad tablet with a community of like-minded users. They can also self-publish these fully functional examples by uploading them to Spotfire's public Web server and then alerting friends and followers through popular social media sites.

"Spotfire now makes it possible for any mobile executive to analyze information and uncover compelling new insights from any business data," said Lars Bauerle, vice president of product management for Spotfire, TIBCO Software Inc. "Spotfire end-user self-publishing - whether to enterprise deployments or TIBCO Silver™ Spotfire® on the cloud- makes it easy for anyone to create and share mobile analytic applications and dashboards."
