TruWest Credit Union of Tempe, Ariz. has teamed up with Intuit Financial Services to offer text message-based mobile banking and FinanceWorks, a cutting-edge online financial management solution, to give consumers a more complete and easy way to budget, gain control over their spending and see their account information while on-the-go.

TruWest understands its members need access to and can benefit from truly comprehensive money management tools. Adding FinanceWorks, powered by Quicken®, to the online banking experience has enabled members to pull financial information from more than 18,000 financial institutions, including credit cards, external loans, investments and 401(k) management. TruWest members are using FinanceWorks to actively set and monitor budgets, track spending, manage all of their accounts in one place, and ensure bills are paid on time regardless of the method they use to pay them - through one secure log-in to TruWest Credit Union's online banking website. Many of its 26,000 plus online banking members are also using mobile banking to access and track their account information, transactions and balances on their mobile phone.

"These are great resources to help keep our members on track with their finances and plan a healthy financial future. Making powerful financial tools like FinanceWorks and mobile banking available to our members as a free service is part of our commitment to helping them experience the TruDifference of being a TruWest member," said Dan Desmond, President and CEO of TruWest Credit Union. "The TruDifference is about combining great rates, great products and great service with a culture of caring for each of our TruWest members, employees and communities."

TruWest members have already begun taking advantage of these new services. In less than two months, more than five percent of the credit union's members that use its online branch/services have used FinanceWorks and mobile banking. Member Michael Ciarlino loves using the new tools. "I can see where I spend my money and manage four credit cards with constant updating," he said. Member Jeffrey Robinson notes, "I love looking at the spending trends as well as the ability to drill-down in pie charts and see everything in one place."
