HPC Platform SA, the 'No LatencyTM' specialists in data packet processing solutions today announced the official renaming of the organisation to "NovaSparks SA".

Founded in 2007 by Marc Battyani (CTO and Head of Research and Development) and Eric Le Rolland (CEO), HPC Platform has been building its reputation as specialists offering proven and stable sub- microsecond latency for ticker plant, market data distribution and other data services. HPC Platform offers an unique global approach to providing low latency end-to-end solutions.

Eric Le Rolland explains, "After an intensive period of research and development, we decided it was time to raise our profile further. This involved reviewing our brand and we are delighted to officially announce our new change of name to NovaSparks."

NovaSparks offers the latest disruptive technology which dramatically reduces the latency involved in market data ticker plant and packet distribution, and measurably increases processing speeds for the latency-sensitive high frequency traders of investment banks, hedge funds and proprietary trading firms.

NovaSparks core offering includes:

• NovaSparks' "No LatencyTM market data ticker plant" offering sub-microsecond latency for market data feed handling, order book processing, index computation and delivery of data direct to the core black boxes of algorithmic trading firms. Delivered through unicast, multicast, one or 10 Gb and PCI-Express, the No LatencyTM market data ticker plant offers a proven, consistent and high performance solution, immune to market bursts of traffic and volume.
• NovaSparks' "No LatencyTM Packet Dispatcher" transferring market data between data sources and application servers at sub-microsecond speed. Packet dispatcher is a 'full featured solution' delivering a flexible approach to connectivity and integration. One of its applications will be to connect an Algorithmic trading hardware environment to the 'No LatencyTM' market data ticker plant, enabling easy customisation to suit the client firm's unique requirements.
• End-to-End low latency distribution solutions. NovaSparks partners with lowers with lh low latency connectivity specialists to offer a carrier neutral choice enabling collocation services, performance measurement and monitoring, resilient and secure end-to-end managed services and global access. This collaborative approach offers clients choice, flexibility and a unique approach to low latency performance.

Marc Battyani, CTO and Head of Research and Development explains, "All our solutions are built exclusively on Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) without any CPU. We continually measure and monitor our performance and we have every confidence our latencies perform consistently at sub-microsecond speeds."

Eric le Rolland continues, "If the industry were under any illusion that the race to zero is achievable, NovaSparks is proving that sub-microsecond latency is not only achievable but also entirely configurable into the heart of an algorithmic trading black box. It is clear that this will contribute hugely to helping firms smart order route even faster and benefit from the arbitrage opportunities available. We are encouraged by the number of discussions we are having with the industry which is keen to learn more about how we can help them."
