Wolters Kluwer names Fran Sullivan CIO

Wolters Kluwer Financial Services announced today that it has named Fran Sullivan to the newly-created position of chief information officer (CIO) within the company.

Wolters Kluwer Financial Services provides regulatory intelligence, policy and process management, and oversight to help financial services organizations address their compliance needs.

Sullivan will be responsible for the overall leadership of processes and practices supporting the flow of technology information across Wolters Kluwer Financial Services different business lines. Wolters Kluwer Financial Services serves customers in the banking, securities, mortgage, insurance and indirect lending markets.

Sullivan joined Wolters Kluwer Financial Services as senior director of Product Development and Technology in 2005, and as part of his new role as CIO, will continue managing product development for the company's Banking Analytics, Securities and Insurance businesses.

"Fran's strong experience in leading the development of innovative technology solutions in the financial services industry is critical to Wolters Kluwer Financial Services' continued mission of helping financial institutions manage regulatory risk more efficiently," said Brian Longe, president and chief executive officer of the company.

Before he joined Wolters Kluwer Financial Services, Sullivan held several senior management positions related to product development, network services, systems integration and client integration at Omego, LLC and Fidelity Investments and was a software engineer early in his career. Sullivan earned a bachelor's degree in computer science from Boston College's Carroll school of Management.
