Building societies, in common with other players in the market, have found it increasingly difficult to grow their business while maintaining appropriate profit margins.
Aspace Consulting, supported by the Building Societies Association, interviewed the chief executives or strategy directors of 18 building societies to understand their competitive strategies and identify what characterises successful strategic planning in the current highly competitive financial services marketplace.
