On Demand Webinar: How Banks can Win New Small Business Customers

Join Finextra, Avoka, Vanson Bourne and Metro Bank for our on demand webinar as we explore the frustrations business customers are having with their banks, and the critical role digital plays in acquiring new business customers.

Understanding the behaviour and challenges of your business customers is the recipe to providing successful banking services, and to winning new business customers. However, the latest research from Avoka shows this market is hugely under-served by banks with only 30% of banks globally providing digital services for their business customers.

83% of small business owners would recommend their bank to other small businesses if their online product application was a successful experience.

Business customers expect bank services to be multi-channel and automated, together with human interaction. However, in most cases there is a sizeable divide between what business customers want and what their bank is making available to them leading, to customer frustration, and process abandonment.

Based on Vanson Bourne survey findings, topics for discussion include:

  • What SME’s think of their banks
  • SME’s business issues and challenges and how to overcome them
  • Recommendations for servicing SME’s

Speakers include:

  • Derek Corcoran, Chief Experience Officer, Avoka
  • Charlie Wood, Project Manager, Vanson Bourne
  • Jo MacDonald, Head of Business Propositions, Metro Bank
  • Gary Wright, Content Director, Finextra

Investment and Asset Management Workshop

Investment and Asset Management Workshop

23rd March 2020

Join Finextra Research for its second Sustainable Finance Live event on 23 March 2020 to peel away the misnomers and ‘greenwashed’ ideas about sustainable finance and explore the ways the industry can take proactive steps to deliver the UN SDGs. Now open for registration, the one-day immersive event showcases a smattering of expert contributors who will introduce the day with insight into the green projects being launched across asset management and investment banking. Attendees will first Lean In to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s exploration of their experience accessing early stage investment, and Refinitiv’s discussion of the data reporting difficulties that face ESG-minded portfolio managers. Leaning Back, attendees will be given the opportunity to question industry leaders on the finer details of these concepts and projects at a series of roundtables. By the afternoon workshop session, it will be more than apparent that not all ESG polices are created equal, so it’s vital to cut through the hype to see precisely how each link in the value chain helps work towards achieving the UN SDGs. Attendees will finally Learn by Doing in the workshop by taking the key learnings from earlier sessions and carving out a real-world solution to an ESG dilemma posed at the outset of the event.
