I think this is a superb piece of lateral thinking by Wells Fargo and considering they've had the functionality in place since 2005 is quite impressive. Perhaps if a big UK clearing bank rolled out this facility in the UK they would automaticaly tick the gift aid box. Mind you, come the time for Children in Need or Comic Relief it would drasticaly reduce the visibilty of middle aged women dressed as schoolgirls or even larger chaps dressed as assorted green dragons or pink bunnies etc. Perhaps for Comic Relief, for your contribution, the clearing banks could post jokes on your cash slip?
