You have to feel for poor old E*Trade. In a seemingly desperate cost-cutting exercise, the beleaguered discount brokerage has had to sell off its corporate jets.
Apparently the private planes enabled executives to work on the move without nosy fellow passengers peeking at confidential information. I guess they'll just have to run the risk of mid-air espionage from now on.
Every little helps but I'm not sure how far the move will go towards the firm's stated aim of cutting costs by $360 million this year.
