SEPA Solutions The European Parliament has now confirmed the deadline to change to the new schemes for SEPA Credit Transfers (SCT) and SEPA Direct Debits (SDD) as 1st February 2014. In non-Euro countries the deadline is 31st October 2016. This announcement finally removes market uncertainty over whether an end-date would be set. Doing nothing is not an option- time is running out for businesses to act.

The sweeping changes to the European payments landscape under SCT and SDD will present corporations with a complex set of challenges. But ultimately the move to standardise payments in the eurozone - as part of the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) initiative represents a huge opportunity for corporates to overhaul their cash management and collection processes and leverage their banking relationships.

We are uniquely well placed to support Banks & Corporates in meeting the challenges and opportunities of SEPA.

Our clients, being Bank or Corporate, are active leaders in the market, using our solutions to boost their dominance in the market. Today, our technology is used to process 15% of SDD transactions in Europe, surpassing any other provider in the market.

Please visit our new SEPA Microsite for everything you need to know about SEPA.

IBRA Our Insurance and Banking Reporting Architecture (IBRA) is the solution for financial institutions facing the increased frequency and complexity of the reporting demanded today by regulators.

We know as well as you do that dealing with different regulatory environments in different countries and across a range of complex financial products is a difficult and on-going problem. However, our experience has also been that tougher regulations can be turned to your advantage - the consolidated data necessary for regulatory compliance is also a goldmine for improved decision-making and business agility.

IBRA has an innovative architecture that sees the framework product, which has the common functionality needed for a regulatory reporting solution, separated from the delivery of discrete reporting functionality which is supplied as meta data. The meta data configures and 'drives' the behaviour of the framework product, delivering user-specific reports to the desktop.

IBRA's methodology and toolset enables Logica to create and deliver cost-effective global, European and country-specific regulatory reporting solutions, reducing time to market and minimising your maintenance costs.

  • Multi-jurisdictional solution for delivering regulatory returns for any market or regulator
  • Fully-automated workflow with intelligent exception-handling capabilities
  • Innovative architecture enables faster responses to reporting changes and simplifying implementations
  • High performance & scalability - capable of processing over 100 million transactions per day
  • Full traceability of processing steps and transparency of intermediate results to give users complete confidence
  • Available as an independent system in your datacentre or integrated with existing applications as a regulatory reporting engine, and also via SaaS and ASP

HotScan We take financial crime seriously at Logica. That is why we created HotScan our automated transaction filtering and scanning software. HotScan scrutinises domestic and cross-border transactions in real-time and alerts the institution to matches against watch lists.

By providing online enquiry and batch filtering of names, addresses and other biographical details, HotScan also supports you with account opening and Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures. This means you can carry out risk assessments against terrorist lists, sanctioned entities, politically exposed people and other risk groups.

HotScan is designed to reduce your risk by:

  • Thoroughly checking all data in every transaction against the configured watch lists
  • Automatically scanning all types of payment and administrative messages, including SWIFT, Fedwire, CHIPS, CHAPS and Telex
  • Searching all data to highlight deliberate attempts to disguise matches using finely tuned algorithms
  • Ignoring insignificant common words when assessing a match, thereby improving accuracy and reducing false-positives
  • Easily integrating with different host systems, meaning minimal interruption to message flow while performing effective scanning. It is a certified plugin to SWIFTAlliance Access, has MQ and TCP/IP interfaces
  • Providing added security with a complete audit trail on each message, together with 4-eye verification and supervisory approvals.
