Mr Bob Antell, chief executive of international software systems provider CMS WebView plc, is meeting senior politicians and officials from the Republic of Georgia to discuss the possible creation of a commodities exchange.

His visit in March follows one last year by Keith Young (vice chairman of CMS) who was in Georgia in his capacity as adviser to the IABP (International Association of Business & Parliament).

Bob Antell will be holding meetings with Mr. Svimonishvili, Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Chogovadze, Minister of Economic Development, Mr. Inaishvili, Vice-Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia and the Chairman of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Mr. Surmanidze, Chairman of the Agrarian Committee of the Parliament. He will also meet Mr. Loladze, the chief executive of the Georgian Stock Exchange, as well as other senior politicians and members of the business community.

If the discussions advance, CMS will return to Georgia later in the year with a delegation of commodities markets experts to examine the practicalities of creating and operating a commodities exchange in the former Soviet Union.

Bob Antell commented:

"We are delighted that CMS has been chosen to lead discussions with the Georgian authorities. Our first visit in March is to establish a dialogue with the authorities towards the creation of a Georgia commodities exchange. If our discussions go well, one of my main objectives will be to return with commodities markets experts later in the year to take part in a follow-up seminar."
