CSFB is pleased to announce the release of ValueSearch 7.0 - the latest version of CSFB HOLT's flagship application on the ValueSearch platform.

The improved software will include a new financial services model; improved design that will allow greater ease of use to address client needs; and increased data on companies in emerging markets.

CSFB HOLT is the industry leader in delivering insights around corporate performance, valuation, and strategy. For industrial firms, it calculates corporate performance in terms of Cash Flow Return on Investment (CFROI) and provides a unique perspective on valuation issues that result from strategic decisions of corporate management, enhancing the understanding of market pricing globally. The ValueSearch platform offers comprehensive software for leveraging the CFROI Valuation framework providing clients direct access to the tools and data necessary to achieve greater investment insight.

ValueSearch 7.0 includes a new financial services model that calculates corporate performance in terms of Cash Flow Return on Equity (CFROE). This framework has been designed specifically for the financial services sector to cope with the lending model it employs. This model provides enhanced transparency for drivers of economic performance in both operations and capital management at a financial services company.

In addition to the financial services model, ValueSearch 7.0 has been redesigned to give users greater flexibility and includes improved calculations for growth rates, discount rates, and intangibles. It also includes an enhanced valuation matrix for E&P companies, as well as new data on companies in emerging markets in Latin America and Eastern Europe - regions that hold a wealth of investment opportunities.

"We are very excited to offer this improved software platform to our clients", said Tim Bixler, co-head of CSFB HOLT. "Our focus on these improvements was based on client needs and feedback, and we are confident VS7 will create greater investment opportunities for its users."
