Wincor Nixdorf is to install 105 cash recycling systems from the new CINEO generation at the branches of Montepio Bank, one of Portugal's leading banks.

Rollout of the systems, which are equipped with passbook processing and cash/check deposit modules, has already started and will be completed in April 2012. Following installation, Wincor Nixdorf will maintain the systems for a period of three years.

Montepio Bank is one of the country's few financial institutions to run its own network of automated teller machines known as "Chave24". As customary in Portugal, the bank provides its customers with a wide range of functions on the systems. They can use the CINEO 4080 cash recycling systems to deposit or withdraw cash, as well as conduct many other kinds of transactions. For instance, bank customers can pay their bills, deposit checks or refill prepaid mobile phone cards at the machines, to name just a few of the total of 70 functions they offer.

"ATMs are an important customer delivery channel in Portugal. We opted for Wincor Nixdorf because its solution meets our numerous requirements and offers our customers a broad portfolio of services," said Rui Gomes do Amaral, Administrator at Montepio Bank.
