Android smart phone users will now have access to key online banking features with a new, purpose-built Mobile Banking application for Android devices - another Australian first for St.George bank - with an application for the new Blackberry Torch to follow soon.
This follows the recent success of St.George Bank's Mobile Banking applications for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad and will add to the 600,000 customers already logging in to the bank's Mobile Banking applications every month.
St.George Internet Banking has already established a reputation as one of the leading Internet Banking solutions in Australia, winning Banking Website of the Year in Money Magazine's annual Consumer Finance Awards announced in June - industry recognition that St.George is leading the way for its website, online banking and mobile banking services.

The new Mobile Banking application for Android phones is available now - you can download it from Google Apps Marketplace.

The new Mobile Banking application for Android phones gives customers the ability to:
* Log on to online banking to access all their accounts - check balances, transfer funds, pay bills, view interest earned, schedule payments and more.
* Locate the nearest St.George ATM or branch using GPS technology.
* View information about products, including transactions and saving accounts, home loans, insurance and superannuation.
* View handy contact details.
The Mobile Banking application for the Blackberry Torch will be available soon and will also give customers access to key online banking features.
