FSTC names Plevel and Till co-chairs of business continuity standing committee

The Financial Services Technology Consortium (FSTC) today announced it has named two prominent industry executives to chair its Business Continuity Standing Committee.

Marty Plevel of KPMG, the audit, tax and advisory firm, and Randy Till of MasterCard Worldwide will lead this industry-wide forum in which members collaborate to address individual and industry issues.

They will develop long-term strategies to address the rapidly evolving cost/risk challenges faced in today's changing business environment. In addition, the committee identifies and incubates solutions, specific tactical technology methodologies, and best practices.

"The work of the Business Continuity Standing Committee is extremely important to the industry as a whole as organizations look to ensure their infrastructures are resilient and flexible in the event of an unforeseen disaster," said Dan Schutzer, Executive Director of FSTC. "Marty and Randy have extensive experience in this area and having them lead our efforts will help ensure the continued success of this committee going forward."

Plevel is the Northeast Area Business Continuity Management Services leader for KPMG LLP's Advisory Services Practice. Throughout his career, Plevel has led or actively participated in successful cross-functional teams in a number of disciplines, including business continuity management, crisis management, supply chain management, mergers and acquisitions, and business transformation initiatives. He is a member of the Continuity Insights Editorial Advisory Board. He also serves on the Executive Board of the New York City Metro Chapter of the Association of Contingency Planners. In addition, Marty manages the Continuity Insights/KPMG Business Continuity Benchmarking Study.

Till (CBCP) serves as Senior Business Leader, Global Business Continuity Management at MasterCard Worldwide. In this position, Till is responsible for the development and implementation of MasterCard's comprehensive Business Continuity Program that has been implemented globally. Under his leadership and expertise in the Business Continuity field, MasterCard develops leading-edge strategies and bbest practices to address the needs of MasterCard's clients and cardholders.
