Norwich Union launches online broker incentive programme

Norwich Union has launched Choices, an interactive incentive programme for intermediaries using its e-broking site, allowing them to earn points for each policy or service they sell.

The points, known as AwardperQs, can be exchanged for a range of gifts including cinema tickets, cameras, home entertainment and holidays.

Brokers can register, claim and spend their rewards within 24 hours via a link to an incentive Web site, which contains over 1000 rewards to choose from. Users can also track and monitor their own performance via a personal statement and shopping cart.

Norwich Union says more than 1600 brokers have signed up to the programme since its launch in May, with more than 1000 sales recorded.

The scheme site also includes fast links to product information and benefits and helps brokers to generate new business by suggesting opportunities for trade ups and cross selling.

Linda Keller, broker relations manager, Norwich Union, says: "Transferring our existing paper-based incentive scheme to an online environment which rewards brokers for electronic transactions is an ideal way to get people used to an online sales environment and to encourage brokers to increase their long-term commitment to Internet trading."

Household sales have been the first to qualify for points, but other products are set to follow shortly.
