Lehman hands BT £3 million IP telephony contract

Lehman Brothers has appointed BT to install and maintain one of Europe's largest IP telephony infrastructures, covering 3000 UK employees, at its new headquarters in Canary Wharf, London.

The £3 million contract replaces a traditional PBX environment with Cisco Systems technology, bringing the UK offices into line with Lehman's 6600 active Cisco IP telephony users in the US.

BT's systems integration business, Syntegra, is providing design and integration expertise, with BT Business Information Systems offering installation support and ongoing maintenance.
