Computershare hires EDS man to replace Saville in Europe

Rob Chapman of EDS has been appointed as managing director, Europe, Computershare, taking over a role vacated by former CrestCo executive Iain Saville in March.

Chapman will be responsible for all of Computershare's European and South African businesses and will report directly to group CEO Chris Morris.

He takes over a position initially created for former CrestCo chief executive Iain Saville, who quit the post in March after barely a year in the job.

Chapman comes to Computershare after a ten-year stint at EDS, where his most recent role involved developing its Business Process Management division in the UK, Ireland and South Africa.

In his new post, Chapman will be focusing on Computershare's existing registry, employee plans and related businesses and will also review opportunities for expanding Computershare's integrated global services offering. He says the expansion in back office managed services in the finance sector provides an exciting opportunity for Computershare.

"Rob has an outstanding record of delivering growth in outsourcing businesses similar to Computershare," says Morris.
