Israel's Bank Hapoalim has introduced Cognos' business intelligence (BI) solution within sales and marketing for on-demand analysis of operational and customer data.
Ottowa-based Cognos says its BI system will enable bank staff to analyse and report on business performance and to identify cross-selling opportunities.
The bank says users can now access information, stored in a Teradata warehouse, within minutes rather than days or weeks.
Tal Shlasky, data warehouse project manager, Bank Hapoalim, adds: "Cognos gives us an integrated view of the enterprise, allowing us to target customers based on their individual needs."
Bank Hapoalim is Israel's largest bank with nearly two million customers.
