Standard Bank licenses Spectrum for FX trading

Standard Bank has chosen Financial Software's Spectrum system to manage its foreign exchange trading business in its recently acquired Jardine Fleming Bank operation in Hong Kong.

The bank has installed Spectrum to process treasury transactions from deal-capture in the front-office to general ledger accounting in the back-office. The new system will allow over 20 users across the interbank dealing, sales and wealth desks at the Hong Kong office to input foreign exchange transactions quickly and easily, says the company.

The Spectrum treasury system has been deployed on the Unix platform running over an internal network.

Standard Bank is currently using Spectrum in its London, New York, and Hong Kong operations.
