Shagoury made COO, Milne leaves in LSE management reshuffle

London Stock Exchange CIO Antoine Shagoury has been made chief operating officer as part of a management reshuffle that also sees director of post-trade services Kevin Milne leave the group.

As group COO, Shagoury takes on responsibility for all aspects of the business operations, in addition to his current technology management duties.

David Lester, who relinquished the CIO responsibilities to Shagoury in 2010 in order to oversee the Turquoise-Baikal integration process, is now adding the role of director of strategic development to his information services duties.

Meanwhile, former Xtrakter CEO Milne who joined the LSE in 2010, taking on responsibility for post-trade services from Borsa Italiana CEO Massimo Capuano, is leaving at the end of the month.

Capuano's successor as Borsa Italiana boss, Raffaele Jerusalmi, will take responsibility for post-trade services in Italy with Paolo Cittadini, as CEO of CC&G and Monte Titoli, reporting to him.

Another senior executive on his way out is CFO Doug Webb, who is being replaced by David Warren who spent nine years in the same role at Nasdaq OMX. In addition, Tracey Pierce is quitting her role as head of primary markets, replaced by Alastair Walmsley, previously executive director, corporate broking at Morgan Stanley.
