Chase promotes rebranding campaign with ATM cash give away

As part of a major overhaul and rebranding of its tri-state area branches, Chase Bank is launching an ATM-based campaign that will see the bank give away cash prizes to customers that use its cash machines.

Customers can find out if they have won a cash prize, including $250,000, by entering a game code printed the back of their ATM receipt at a Chase Web site. The bank says "one in one hundred codes is a winner".

The ATM game, which will run from 15 April to 31 May, is part a compaign to publicise a major overhaul and re-branding of its 800 branches and 2300 ATMs in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

The bank has been updating existing branches and replacing its old navy-and-red colour scheme with a bright blue logo and new branch layout. The new colour scheme and branding will be also be promoted on ATM screens.

Chase has opened 74 new tri-state branches in the last three years and has recently completed re-branding of 339 former Bank of New York branches. Chase says the computer systems at the former BoNY branches were converted to its own platform last month.

Charlie Scharf, head of retail financial services, Chase, says the bank has doubled its presence in the area over the last couple of years and all branches are now under one computer system and brand.
