Deutsche Börse expands CEF data feed

Deutsche Börse is launching a new version of its real-time data dissemination system CEF which features increased data capacity and complete Eurex price chronology.

The CEF feed bundles trading data such as prices, indexes and volumes of 25 sources. The exchange recently increased the detail in which Eurex trading data is disseminated via the CEF feed so that the complete price chronology is available in real-time for a Eurex trading day.

Version 2.5 of CEF offers improvements in market depth as users can display the number of orders per price level in Xetra.

The exchange has also increased the data capacity of its real-time data feed with the new release. At peak times, a volume of up to 15 million data records are distributed via CEF each day.

The exchange recently reported a six per cent increase in third-quarter revenues at its Information Services division to EUR30.6 million, compared to EUR29 million a year ago. At the same time, costs were reduced by three per cent and EBIT increased almost 40% to EUR12.3 million from EUR8.8 million in Q3 last year.

Deutsche Börse says the rise is due to newly launched services such as share price information for the European Stars segment and increased income from equity investments in Stoxx AG and International Index Company (formerly known as iBoxx Ltd).
