Rabobank turns to Siebel CRM for merchant management

Rabobank in the Netherlands is using a hosted Siebel CRM system as the administrative backbone for its recently launched electronic wallet service MiniTix.

The MiniTix service, launched five months ago, enables registered users to pay for goods and services at participating online retailers up to a value of EUR100. Processing payments by MiniTix is cheaper for merchants than traditional credit card payments.

Siebel CRM OnDemand is being used by the Dutch bank to aid retailer recruitment and retention. The hosted software acts as an administrative, sales and opportunity management tool, including the retailer's profile, automatic tracking of deal history, data sharing from team selling, appointment setting and contract management.

Michiel Helmer, product manager, Rabobank, says the bank needed a rapid, easy-to-use means of managing retailer relationships for MiniTix: "Siebel CRM OnDemand enables us to build prospect lists, manage the sales pipeline and close leads quickly and cost-effectively."

The initiative is in addition to Rabobank's on-premise Siebel installation, which is used to track customer profiles, manage sales pipelines, and administer follow-up contact.
