Alexandra will use the software to access real-time intraday screening of the market, P&L analysis and calculation and for risk management.

The firm will also have access to the vendor's global convertible bonds database Col, which is bundled with the Value package.

Vadim Iosilevich, head of trading, Alexandra, says the firm was looking for an off-the shelf solution that could be in production quickly and also be customised: "Sophis' financial integration ToolKit enables us to make all the developments we need in a very easy way."

Alexandra is Paris-based Sophis' third hedge fund client in the US.
