North American Savings Bank outsources IT ops to Aurum

The North American Savings Bank is to outsource its entire information technology operations to Texas-based Aurum Technology.

Under the deal, Aurum will implement its core processing software Miser to steamline the bank's mortgage servicing business. The bank will also utilise additional Aurum solutions, for procedures ranging from image item processing to automated signature verification to ATM management.

The vendor will also install its business intelligence software SmartBanker to provide users with analysis and reporting capabilities.

Keith Cox, president, North American Savings Bank, says: "We believe that operating in Aurum's outsource environment will create significant new efficiencies and enable us to take the level of service for our customers to new heights."

The outsourcing of core processing systems will be supported by Aurum's National Computer Centre in Charlotte, North Carolina, with imaging solutions provided by the vendor's item processing centre in Lee's Summit, Missouri.

The conversion is scheduled for November 2003.
